Education is a central part of the way that we, as a country, can reduce the health impacts of asbestos in years to come.
As part of this, the Control of Asbestos Regulations (Regulation 10) outlines the types of asbestos training available and who is required to receive this.
In short, any person involved within the development or property maintenance/disposal of a property must have as a minimum Asbestos Awareness Training.
In addition to Asbestos Awareness there are a range of training courses available and appropriate for Asbestos Removal and Property Management positions – all of which, ABS can assist with.
ABS are certified by UKATA and IATP to offer a range of certified training on Asbestos Awareness, Project Management and Removal.

ABS can provide a range of Asbestos training sessions tailored to any audience’s requirements; whether focusing on a specific sector or stage in the development process, or condensing key points within a fixed length of time (e.g. ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions).
This strategy has been adopted to assist both trade associations/professional bodies (e.g. RICS, SELECT etc), as well as focussing on asbestos typically encountered by a specific trade (e.g. plumbers or joiners).
We work with our clients in advance to make sure we are adding the best value for their time, and ensure each delegate receives a training pack on completion along with certificate of completion where appropriate.
